kVA is seeking a reliable HR Communications Intern to join our growing team. Your work will include both customer-facing and organizational-wide techniques that help improve satisfaction in the workplace. You will also have the opportunity to enhance communication channels at kVA by creating new digital marketing content and direct mail campaigns.


In this role you will work directly with kVA’s Human Resources Generalist and Marketing Coordinator to assist with employee retention strategies, finances, office operations, advertising copy and layout. Internship duties are likely to include:

  • Screen resumes and log them in appropriate tracking spreadsheets, Schedule and confirm interviews with candidates. Facilitate the On-Boarding process along with HR Generalist.
  • Post, update and remove job ads from job boards, careers pages and social networks
  • Assist HR Generalist to update the company policies in digital formats
  • Assist HR Generalist to generate reports needed for the monthly Invoicing process.
  • Plan Company-wide Team-Building Activities
  • Organize Purchase Order Management System & Create Weekly Reports
  • Maintain and Update CRM Database
  • Assist with Performance Marketing and Pay-Per-Click Advertising
  • Prepare Copy and Layout for Marketing Collateral, Including Print & Digital
  • Analyze Survey Results and Conduct Marketing Research
  • Edit Content and Add Blogs to Website
  • Enhance Social Media Channels
  • Coordinate Training Event Logistics

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook
  • Preferred knowledge of Adobe Photoshop & InDesign, SurveyMonkey, Mailchimp, Google AdWords & Analytics, WordPress
  • Ability to create spreadsheets with little instruction
  • Data entry experience in CRM tools
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Ability to prioritize projects and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • Good research skills and attention to detail
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing results as needed; prioritize activities for the best interest of the team when working on joint projects.
